Wear-resistant steel X120Mn12 / 1.3401 / 110G13L
Alloyed wear-resistant steel, X120Mn12 grade, refers to structural alloys of the austenitic class. It is distinguished by a significant content of manganese, with a share of 11.5 to 15%, which ensures high hardness and wear resistance. In much smaller volumes, steel is alloyed with silicon, nickel and chromium.
Special properties
Structural sheet metal, grade X120Mn12, is distinguished by:
– Convincing wear resistance, when working in the area of influence of constant static and dynamic loads.
– High resistance to various abrasives.
– Lack of magnetic properties.
– Impressive toughness. Moreover, with prolonged impact, the metal only becomes harder.
– Yield strength, at the level of 400 megapascals.
Steel is hardened , at a temperature of 1050 to 1100 degrees, followed by cooling with water.
Applications
Assortment of metal, in the form of castings, not used for the manufacture of welded structures, but successfully used in the production of ball and vortex mill bodies, railway crosses, teeth and front walls of buckets of construction machines.
