Waspalloy / 2.4654
Waspalloy is a wrought, precipitation hardened nickel alloy with high heat and corrosion resistance.
Waspalloy stainless steel, in addition to 17-22% nickel, contains up to 15% cobalt, up to 9.5% molybdenum, up to 7% tungsten, as well as aluminum, titanium and niobium.
Special properties of the alloy
The price of stainless steel is fully justified by its operational properties, of which we can distinguish:
– High resistance to aging stress cracking.
– Impressive heat resistance. Nickel alloy retains its qualities at temperatures up to 870 degrees.
– Oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 650 degrees.
– Significant creep resistance.
– Ability to work harden when heat treated.
Nickel Alloy Applications
Sheet metal, wire, strip, round, tube, and other forms of Waspalloy steel have become the most sought after in the production of gas turbine components. Including: shafts, rotor disks, gaskets, seals, housings, fasteners, compressors and other important components of the units.
