Titan GRADE 9 / PT 3В
Deformed alloy GRADE 9 / PT 3V, in addition to titanium, which occupies up to 95.3% of the composition, contains from 3.5 to 5% aluminum and from 1.2 to 2.5% vanadium, which determine what properties the titanium wire, rod or pipe will have. In significantly smaller quantities, the material contains zirconium, iron, carbon, silicon.
Given the internal structure of GRADE 9 / PT 3B, it is classified to pseudo alpha alloys.
Special properties
Titanium metal cannot be heat strengthened. An exception is full and incomplete annealing.
Although the material is lightweight, the products made from it , but have the highest strength, corrosion resistance, acceptable ductility and toughness. It is characterized by high resistance to fatigue failure and low plastic deformation.
GRADE 9 welds well. At the same time, it does not lose its strength qualities in the area of the seams.
Type of delivery are titanium tubes, rods, plates, etc. Further.
Applications
Alloy PT 3V is widely used in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, instrument making, chemical industry. It is used, among other things, in the production of various tools, propellers, machine shafts, turbine blades, reaction columns.
