Titan VT9
Wrought Titanium alloy VT9 refers to materials with high heat resistance and resistance to corrosion manifestations.
The proportion of titanium in the alloy can reach from 86.15 to 89.9%. In addition, the composition includes from 5.8 to 7% aluminum, 1-2% zirconium, 2.8-3.8%, 0.2-0.35% silicon.
Special Properties
BT9 titanium products, due to a sufficiently large proportion of aluminum and silicon alloying, have high heat resistance and mechanical strength.
Semi-finished products are supplied in the form of bars, sheets, forgings, plates, stampings.
The material has a satisfactory disposition to deformation. However, welding is not recommended.
Mechanical properties can be optimized by double annealing. Thermal hardening is carried out by hardening and aging.
The price for a titanium sheet is quite consistent with its operational characteristics, which are especially in demand in mechanical engineering.
Applications
Alloy VT9 is used for the manufacture of various products, for operation at temperatures reaching 400-500 degrees. So, for example, you can buy titanium for the manufacture of blades and disks of gas turbine engines, compressor parts.
