Steel pipes ASTM A335 Gr. P5, P9, P11, P12, P22, P91
Made from chromium-molybdenum alloys, seamless tubular products can be successfully used in cryogenic or especially high temperature conditions. ASTM A335 steel pipe alloy has been successfully used in the power and oil and gas industries.
Special characteristics
The main alloying components of alloys are:
– molybdenum, which improves strength, elastic limits, wear resistance, hardenability and impact resistance, and also prevents pitting and softening material;
– chrome that prevents oxidation at significant temperatures, and corrosive manifestations.
The price of the presented steel pipes, despite similar characteristics, may differ significantly. So the cost of P9 and P91 is higher than for products of other brands.
Applications
P11, 12, 22 and 91 grades are typically used in power plants, oil and gas pipelines, as well as at their processing enterprises. And P5 and P9 seamless steel pipes are recommended to be bought exclusively for oil refineries.
