\n
\n
\n AISI 431 steel belongs to ferritic-martensitic superalloys. The main advantages of this steel grade:\n
\n
\n high wear resistance;\n
\n
\n increased strength;\n
\n
\n Impact resistance;\n
\n
\n Resistance to aggressive acidic and alkaline environments.\n
\n
\n Features\n
\n
\n Rolled stainless steel of this grade retains its characteristics over a wide temperature range. This allows the use of these alloys in any climatic zone. The high content of alloying additives guarantees increased resistance to corrosion of all types.\n
\n
\n Steel of this grade is practically not subject to “metal fatigue”, which makes it possible to use it in structures with increased load parameters. The disadvantages include difficulties in welding: steel must be “prepared” for this procedure by heating it to 200-300 ° C and using special welding electrodes for ferritic-martensitic alloys.\n
\n
\n Application
\n
\n AISI 431 stainless steel products are used to solve a wide range of tasks. They are necessary for the production of elements of pumping units, for the manufacture of shafts, turbines, shut-off valves, ventilation systems, chimneys, and so on.\n
