Steel AISI 430 / EN 1.4016 / 12Х17
Stainless steel 430 is one of the most demanded alloys in the industry , manufacturing, construction. This steel is highly resistant to corrosion processes, has high strength and mechanical strength.
It is quite simple to process and lends itself to any type of welding, which only leads to its introduction into all areas of the national economy. An important advantage that 430 stainless steel has is its cost. It contains a fairly small amount of molybdenum and nickel components, which guarantees an affordable price.
Features
Compared to its counterparts, the alloy 430 brand retains its characteristics even in an environment with a high content of sulfur and chlorine. This guarantees corrosion resistance of all existing types. That is why steel is in demand in the petrochemical and gas industries, where it is often necessary to work in aggressive environments.
The alloy contains a smaller amount of carbon (corrosion resistance is provided at high temperatures), and mass proportion of titanium for better welding. Elements from this alloy grade can be welded using conventional welding machines.
Application
Basically, 430 grade steel is used in industrial design and architecture, as well as in:
medicine;
food industry;
shipbuilding, mechanical engineering;
production of household appliances and accessories;
production of elements of heat exchangers, boilers, chimneys ;
· installation of pipelines, containers, reservoirs.
AISI 430 sheet is most often used as the most versatile and practical type of rolled metal.
