AISI 301 / EN 1.4310 / 07X16H6
Alloy AISI 301 is a type of high strength stainless steel. Features a high content of chromium and nickel, non-magnetic type. The closest analogue is AISI 304 and 321 steel. It is recommended for the widest application in any atmospheric conditions, as well as in environments characterized by low aggressiveness.
Features
AISI 301 stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion of any type (surface, crevice, point). The domestic analogue of the alloy according to GOST is designated by the marking 07X16H6. This alloy retains all the characteristics of conventional AISI 304 austenitic steel, including high ductility, ease of processing, ease of welding.
The features of this steel grade include a higher tensile strength (about 750 MPa), which almost a third higher than that of analogues (aisi 304 and aisi 321). This type of alloys is produced at most factories in the world and is in demand for industrial needs. Due to its parameters, steel allows to reduce the weight of finished structures.
AISI 301 is stainless steel, the price of which is at the level of more expensive analogues, therefore it is often used as a replacement for expensive grades.
Application and use
This type of steel is in demand in many sectors of the national economy and in industry, including:
• production of railway and municipal transport;
• production of equipment for the needs of mining spheres;
• machine tool building, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding;
• production of equipment for the needs of the medical and food industries;
• production of household appliances and so on.
