Steel sheet S 460NL DIN EN 10025-3
Sheet steel, grade S 460NL, is a hot-rolled fine-grained unalloyed structural steel of ordinary quality, normalized by hot rolling up to 900 degrees.
Special properties
Sheet steel DIN EN 10025-3 is chemically homogeneous, has a homogeneous structure, resistance to corrosion and significant temperature changes, good flexibility and strength, which largely determine the areas of its application.
Quality sheet steel, grade S 460NL, stands out:
– sufficiently high yield strength, at the level of 460 megapascals, at normal ambient temperature;
– excellent impact strength, at the level of 63 joules, at a test temperature of +20 degrees, and 27 joules , at -50 degrees;
– with a density of 7.85 grams per cubic centimeter;
– good weldability. Welding works do not require preheating and subsequent heat treatment.
Fields of application
This grade of sheet steel in Ukraine is successfully used in construction , mechanical engineering, machine tool building, energy, for the manufacture of individual products and welded structures, including elements of bridges, locks, various tanks, and so on.
