Alloy Nickel 200/201 / NP2 / 2.4660
Alloy Nickel 200/201 contains up to 99.6% nickel and a small amount of other elements. Products made from it are distinguished by the accuracy of linear dimensions and high surface quality. NP-2 is obtained by remelting nickel waste.
Features of the alloy
Nickel 200 alloys are distinguished by high hardness, toughness and malleability. Easily polishable. The material is protected from corrosion by an oxide film formed in the open air.
The alloy has good resistance to gaseous and aggressive liquid media, high temperatures, which can reach 850 degrees.
Nickel alloy, due to its ductility, is easy to process:
– Rolled.
– Sharpening.
– Drawing.
– Welding.
– Stamping.
The only drawback of the material can be called an increase in brittleness at a sufficiently high temperature. This is due to the content of sulfur impurities, which form a sulfide film on the surface of the product.
Applications
Relatively affordable price for nickel and attractive performance properties make the alloy very popular in the production of technological equipment for the chemical industry and the pulp and paper industry, elements of mechanisms operating in dry friction conditions.
