AISI 310S steel / EN 1.4845 / 20X23H18
AISI 310S heat-resistant steel is an analogue of AISI 310 alloy with a low carbon content. This version is distinguished by the presence of nickel and chromium additives, which increases the strength characteristics of steel. The material is highly resistant to corrosion of any type (surface, crevice, point). Excellent resistance to fluidity over a wide temperature range.
Features
AISI 310s steel marking ensures that their physical parameters are maintained at temperatures not exceeding 1000°C. In this case, forging can be carried out at temperatures up to 1200 degrees, and cooling with air or water. At temperatures above 1000 degrees, scale begins to form, which affects such a parameter as brittleness of the alloy.
Stainless steel of this grade is easily welded by any type of welding, and is characterized by ductility. This makes it possible to use steel in the production of rolled metal by drawing and forming methods.
Applications
The main area of use is heavy and petrochemical industries. Steel is used to make:
• all kinds of fastening equipment;
• pyrolysis plants;
• oil and gas pipelines;
• high-temperature combustion chambers;
• heat treatment systems;
• elements of conveyor belts;
• heat-resistant dishes and so on.
The alloy is used in modern turbines, internal combustion engines, as well as in construction architectural structures.
