Hastelloy X / Alloy X / Inconel HX / 2.4665
Hastelloy X is a nickel alloy that is highly resistant to oxidation at temperatures up to 1200 degrees, corrosion cracking, cementing, as well as carburization and nitriding, leading to a fairly early destruction of heat-resistant materials.
The alloy lends itself to any type of welding.
Features of the alloy
The basis of the alloy is nickel, which ensures the plasticity of the material. In addition, Hastelloy X heat-resistant steel is alloyed with:
– Chromium, which increases strength.
– Molybdenum, which contributes to oxidation resistance, while high temperatures.
– Tungsten, which hardens the alloy.
– Vanadium and manganese, which provides resistance to impact and abrasion.
Titanium, aluminum, niobium, copper, niobium are present in significantly smaller proportions, which contributes to the material’s resistance to various corrosion manifestations.
Applications
Affordable price and excellent performance properties make Hastelloy X quite popular in the production of various elements for gas turbines, industrial furnaces, equipment for the chemical industry and nuclear power, jet engines and other equipment operating at high temperatures.
