Hastelloy C-276 / Alloy C-276 / 2.4819 / ХН65МВУ
Thanks to its unique properties, Hastelloy C-276 is classified as a superalloy. It is distinguished by excellent resistance to corrosion manifestations in especially aggressive environments and neutrality to all existing corrosion lesions.
Special properties
As part of the alloy nickel, chromium and molybdenum prevail. Tungsten is represented to a lesser extent. In large quantities, non-ferrous metals such as molybdenum and nickel provide resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion, while chromium contributes to resistance to oxidizing environments.
A small proportion of carbon minimizes the formation carbide when welding. This makes it possible to maintain the resistance of the alloy to corrosion after welding. It is possible to use argon or electric arc welding.
Hastelloy C-276 metal alloys are quite versatile materials that are resistant to the vast majority of aggressive substances, including hydrochloric, phosphoric and sulfuric acids, solvents, sea water .
Applications
The material is successfully used in the production of chemical equipment with welded seams, equipment for the pulp and paper and petrochemical industries that can work , at a temperature from -75 to +500 degrees and a sufficiently high pressure.
