Fittings according to DIN 2605, 2615, 2616/ EN 10253

Application of fittings for welding industrial type according to EN 10253 is quite extensive and covers many industries. Several DIN standards (2605, 2615, 2616) are distinguished depending on the material, tolerances, geometric dimensions and operating conditions.

In addition to the standards for pipes, there are also standards for various welded and threaded connections, so welded and threaded fittings are in high demand. In each range there is a direct relationship between these codes and they complement each other.

In practice, different codes are used together, however a fixed version of a bend, tee or other weld fitting is only possible with fittings for EN 10253 welding. There are several valid EN standards (10253-3, 10253-2 and EN 10253-4 and so on).

EN 10253-4 is directly related to EN 10217- 7 and PED (Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC).

Which pipe fittings are covered by EN 10253:

· Bends at an angle of 45° and 90° with radius 1.5D, 2D, 3D 5D or D+100 (previously DIN 2605).

· Long and short tees in symmetrical and transitional versions (previously DIN 2615).

· Bevel and eccentric gearboxes (formerly DIN 2616).
