Electrical steel 2212 / M600-50A / M600-65A
Steel grade 2212 belongs to electrical sulfur alloys. Contains up to 1.8% silicon. The rest is iron. According to its chemical composition, 2212 cold-rolled sheet steel GOST is not regulated.
Special properties
Alloy 2212 is distinguished by improved electromagnetic properties, which are achieved by introducing silicon, which allows oxygen to be removed from the material, which reduces the magnetic properties of iron.
A metal strip, tape or sheet is produced in a heat-treated state for magnetic characteristics and without a special coating. At the same time, at the request of the customer, it is possible to purchase the necessary rolled products without heat treatment.
Special requirements are imposed on the surface of the material. It should be smooth, free of rust, scale, scaling, powder deposits, which may interfere with the application of insulation.
Applications
Affordable price for sheet metal and unique electromagnetic properties of alloy 2212 make it very popular in the production of elements of magnetic circuits of electric machines, devices and other equipment.
The accuracy of the supplied rolled products in terms of thickness and width corresponds to normal and increased accuracy class.
