Steel 1.4462 / 03X22H5AM2
Austenitic steel 1.4462 is characterized by the highest strength and resistance to corrosion processes, which largely determines the scope of its application. Structures made of this alloy are characterized by wear resistance and practically do not lend themselves to general, crevice or pitting corrosion.
Features
Quality 1.4462 stainless steel is a ferritic-austenitic alloy. Its feature is excellent weldability by any type of welding, improved strength by almost half compared to analogues (SAF 304 and 316). The latter feature made it possible to reduce the weight of finished structures without reducing their reliability by 50%.
Stainless steel of this type performs well in corrosive environments, its resistance is comparable to high-alloy alloys of the 6Mo type.
Purpose and applications
Such alloys are widely used in industrial production. High-pressure tanks, oil transportation pipelines, vessels for storing chemically active substances, heat exchangers, pipelines for the needs of the chemical industry, elements of oil and gas drilling rigs are made from them.
Heavy metallurgy, mining, petrochemical industry, medicine and the food industry – this is only a small part of the consumers of steel alloys 1.4462. For all purchase questions, please contact the telephone numbers indicated on the website.
