Stainless steel 1.4162
Stainless steel grade 1.4162 is a duplex steel with a high content of chromium, manganese, nickel, copper and molybdenum, in many ways determining its performance. First of all, it concerns high resistance to corrosion manifestations. The delivery form can be wire, circle, pipe or stainless steel sheet.
Specifications
Stainless steel 1.4162 is characterized by:
– excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking;
– good resistance to general occurrences of corrosion;
– significant mechanical strength and wear resistance;
– highly resistant to corrosion fatigue and erosion corrosion .
Stainless steel pipe or sheet is well welded, no restrictions on applied technologies.
Rolled products are annealed at temperatures from 1020 to 100 degrees followed by quenching in water.
Applications
You can buy stainless steel 1.4162 for the manufacture of various products used in the automotive, food, chemical and oil and gas industries, and medicine. Rolled products are especially in demand in the production of equipment for long-term operation in various aggressive environments.
