Alloy UNS C27400 / DIN 2.0321 / Brass L63
Alloy L63 is a simple double brass, which, according to GOST 15 527, has antimagnetic properties. The alloy contains from 62 to 65%, in fact, brass, from 34.22 to 37.5% zinc, as well as alloying additives, including iron, lead, phosphorus, antimony and bismuth.
Special properties
Brass L63 stands out for its considerable strength, good ductility, resistance to corrosion cracking. The alloy lends itself well to cold deformation, rolling, embossing, polishing, deep drawing drawing, and good bending.
The melting temperature of the alloy is 960 degrees, it is processed, at 750-880 degrees, and annealed at 550-650 degrees.
tape, strip or foil.
With somewhat similar characteristics to copper, L63 costs significantly less . Which undoubtedly affects the wide popularity of the alloy.
Applications
Sheet, tape or brass pipe can be used in the production of elements of various technological equipment, cryogenic equipment, welding wires for copper alloys and hardfacing on carbon steels.
