MNZhKT Alloy 5-1

Copper-nickel alloy is used to make drawn and extruded round welding rods and wires. Wire MNGKT for 90-93.45% consist of copper. In addition, 5-6.5% cobalt and nickel are included, as well as titanium, iron, manganese and silicon. The share of various impurities accounts for no more than 0.7%.

Special properties

The presence of nickel in the alloy provides resistance to corrosion and the necessary ductility. A small amount of iron contributes to strength, and the purity and strength of the weld is provided by silicon, titanium and manganese, which also contain rods and welding wire MNZhKT. These elements prevent the formation of copper oxides.

Applications

Rods and wires are used for welding copper-nickel alloys and cast iron, copper products with bronze, steel, made of brass, surfacing on steel products. Alloy products can be used when performing manual welding and semi-automatic operations carried out in a protective gas environment. A particularly valuable property of the products is the possibility of their use for high-quality welding of heat exchangers operated in sea water.
