X20H80 Nichrome

X20H80 Nichrome is a precision alloy with high electrical resistance, which is maintained even at fairly high temperatures. Contains 80% nickel and 20% chromium.

Special properties of the alloy

Where it is possible to buy nichrome, it is offered in the form wire, rods and tape.

Nickel and chromium provide significant heat resistance, ductility and resistance to corrosion manifestations of the alloy. X20H80 grade nichrome retains its properties in chemically aggressive environments and does not lose them at high temperatures.

The price for nichrome depends on quotations on the London Metal Exchange and the form of sale.

Applications

Plasticity, heat resistance, resistance to aggressive media and durability make the alloy the main material for the manufacture of thermoelements for household and industrial electrical appliances. Nichrome can be bought for the production of electrothermal elements installed in water heaters, electric dryers, roasting and drying ovens. In addition, starting rheostats and resistance complexes for household appliances and industrial electronics are made of nichrome, endowed with high electrical resistance.
