Nichrome Х15Н60

Nichrome grade Х15Н60 is a precision alloy, which is a cheaper analogue of Х20Н80. However, to a lesser extent, it demonstrates what nichrome is, featuring a high level of electrical resistance and significant heat resistance.

The main properties of the alloy

Grade Х15Н60 contains up to 61% nickel and up to 18% chromium. Everything else is iron, with minor impurities. A considerable proportion of iron determines the lower resistance of the alloy to corrosion, compared with Kh20N80. But the price for nichrome tape or wire will also be significantly lower.

High heat resistance allows the alloy to be used in working environments with a maximum temperature of up to +1100 degrees, containing ammonia, nitrogen and various oxidizing agents . Not resistant to sulfur-containing media.

Refers to materials that are difficult to weld, excluding the possibility of using gas welding.

Applications

Affordable prices for tape, wire and nichrome thread, as well as unique properties, make them highly demanded in the production of thermoelements for furnaces and heaters of various types, electronics connecting elements, non-precision resistors, components of intravacuum devices.
