To create parts, you need equipment for cutting metal. Such equipment is able to cut any kind of metal of various shapes. Metal is one of the leading materials in any industry.
For the processing of metals and their alloys, there are many different equipment that differ in the processing method and the ability to process one or another type of metal.
One of the types of equipment is a rolling mill. Such a device has been used for many years and does not go out of production. It has proven itself from the best side in all respects. Rolling equipment is available in almost every enterprise involved in the processing of metals.
The rolling mill is quite simple. Managing it is also not difficult. During production, an ingot of metal, when exposed to special rollers, turns into a sheet or into a flat strip. The rollers rotate towards each other, thereby rolling out the ingot. Modern rolling equipment has undergone many modifications, and the production of metal products is already carried out automatically.
During the passage of the ingot between the rollers, it sort of mixes with each other and becomes homogeneous, resulting in a dense metal sheet with a smooth surface.
The process of turning an ingot into a sheet does not stop at processing it with one piece of equipment. The technology provides for the sequential passage of the processed metal through several types of rolling mills, which each perform their own operation.
At the initial stage, the metal passes through blooming and slabbing equipment. They differ from each other in the number of rollers. In the first case, the equipment is equipped with two rollers, and in the second – with four. These types of devices have excellent performance, they are able to process a fairly large amount of metal per year. Before the ingot is fed into the equipment, it is heated to 1800 degrees, and after that it becomes more ductile. At this stage, the primary processing of the metal takes place, the ingots take the form of bars, and, depending on the device on which they were processed, they are called blooms or slabs. The blanks are then sent for processing to equipment that will give them the desired shape. Regarding the final result, there are strip, billet or sheet rolling mills.
